Linda Sahli joins the College of Chiropractors of Alberta as CEO June 5
Council is pleased to announce that Linda Sahli is joining the College of Chiropractors of Alberta (CCOA) as CEO, effective June 5, 2023.
Sahli has served as the first CEO and Registrar of the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta since 2019. She also held the title of City Clerk for the City of Edmonton, where she was the chief legislative officer, elections returning officer, as well as head of information access & privacy, tribunals and census. She is an Edmonton-based lawyer, experienced in governance and professional regulation. She has diverse career experience in regulatory and political environments, in roles such as trustee, policy analyst, legislative drafter, governance advisor and strategist.
"Sahli's experience is impressive but who she is made choosing her as CEO an easy decision. She is incredibly smart and articulate, driven and prepared and has a warm and confident demeanor. All combined, her leadership will serve the CCOA well," said Dr. Brad Kane, Chair, Council.
"The CCOA plays an important role in the health and safety of Albertans, so I am excited to work with Council, lead an amazing staff and contribute to the CCOA’s vision," shares Sahli. "I have a passion for working in professional regulation; for justice and inclusion and for fostering transformational organizational relationships internally and externally."
Council wishes to thank Debra-Lynn Clouthier for serving as Acting CEO for the past five months and for her dedication to providing leadership and ensuring organizational continuity. Effective June 5, 2023, she will return to her role as COO.
